Putting up wallpaper is simlar to decorating a room immediately. Paint cannot go from plain to vibrant as rapidly as paper. Adding textures, patterns, or both to walls brings them to life. It can also conceal minor imperfections in plaster and drywall.
Even though many people have tried to hang wallpaper with varying degrees of success (and get a lot of criticism for ripping seams and not matching patterns), the results usually make you want to scream.
How Do I Choose The Wallpaper?
Even though there are numerous options, it is essential to give yourself ample time to peruse as many wallpaper books as possible. There are numerous types of wallpaper to choose from. Because each one is different, it needs a slightly different way to be cleaned, applied, and polished:
Normal sheets are typically inexpensive and simple to hang. Be cautious not to rip the paper as you rearrange the sheets on the wall. To create vinyl-coated paper, liquid vinyl is applied to both sides of a sheet of paper. This seal renders the wall covering washable, so to clean it you only need a sponge and soapy water.
Solid sheet vinyl wallcoverings are created by stitching vinyl to a fabric or paper base. These wall coverings are perfect for kitchens since they can withstand heavy use and are easy to clean. If you have never applied wallpaper before, vinyl is your best option. They are simple to install and maintain because they do not become soiled or damaged. Even removing them is not difficult.
Foils and my Lars are excellent options for areas with no windows and low ceilings. On the other hand, the parts of the wallpaper that reflect light will show up any flaws in the wall surface.
Laminating the paperbacks of fabrics such as hemp and grasscloth gives them a rich texture. All three are good ways to hide walls that aren’t perfect, but they may be expensive and hard to put up.
Small faults on a wall’s surface can be concealed with flocked sheets, which are attractive due to their raised, velvety textures. Washable flocking is easier to put in than nonwashable flocking, but both are expensive and usually need a specialist’s help.
The Method Of Hanging Wallpaper
There are two major variations between the front and rear of wallcoverings.
Prepasted wallpaper has a layer of paste applied to the back, whereas unprepared wallpaper does not. This is the principal distinction between the two. The vast majority of our inventory consists of prefabricated wallcoverings. Before this glue leaves the factory, either a pre-paste activator or a tray of water is applied to the paper.
If you or a future homeowner choose to remove the paper, this function will become increasingly valuable. Each piece of dry-strippable paper is removed as a single piece. When you shred a piece of paper that can be peeled off, the back paper remains intact.
If the back is in good condition, you can paint over it or cover it with paper before using a wallpaper remover to remove it. Remember that you can only remove the paper backing from strippable and peelable wallpaper if the substrate was properly sealed before the hang wallpaper (วิธี ติด วอลเปเปอร์, which is the term in Thai) was put up.
